    Autism Spectrum Assessment

    MIGDAS-2 Monteiro Interview Guidelines for Diagnosing the Autism Spectrum, Second Edition

    • A sensory-based process for gathering and organizing qualitative information related to Autism (ASD).

    ADOS-2 The Autism Diagnostic Observational Schedule, Second Edition

    • Evaluate social communication, reciprocal social interactions, and restricted & repetitive behaviors associated with Autism (ASD).

    Behavioral Rating Scales

    • The Social Responsiveness Scale, Second Edition (SRS-2) identifies social impairment associated with Autism Spectrum and quantifies its severity. It’s sensitive enough to detect even subtle symptoms, yet specific enough to differentiate clinical groups, both within the Autism Spectrum and between Autism and other differences.

    • The Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales (VABS) (Vineland-3) is a standardized assessment tool that utilizes semi-structured interviews to measure adaptive behavior and support the identification of intellectual and developmental differences, including Autism.

    • The Delis-Kaplan Executive Function System (D-KEFS) assesses the critical components of executive functions within verbal and spatial modalities. 

    Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA): Neuro-Inclusive Model

    • A Neuro-Inclusive Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) is an approach to conducting an FBA that places a specific emphasis on considering neurodiversity and individual differences when analyzing and addressing challenging behaviors. This model recognizes that individuals have diverse neurological profiles and may experience the world in unique ways, which can significantly impact their behavior. A Neuro-Inclusive FBA aims to understand the underlying causes of behaviors in the context of neurodiversity and to develop interventions that are respectful of and tailored to the individual's specific needs and preferences.

    Dyslexia Assessment

    • The Test of Dyslexia (TOD) is the first of its kind! The TOD measures skills and abilities across three domains: reading and spelling; linguistic processing; and vocabulary and reasoning. the TOD looks at Family History, Motivation, and early Speech and or Language difficulties to identify individuals who have characteristics consistent with Dyslexia.

    The school is encouraged to request a Consultation prior to conducting the Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team (MET1)/Review of Existing Data (RED) meeting. The Consultation can include a review of information, an observation, and recommendations.
